Welcome to CCIL User Support page. On this page you will find past Help Desk requests for dial-up connection and miscellaneous computer problems. We hope these articles will be helpful. New articles and procedures will be added when users ask for additional assistance. If anyone would like to suggest additional content or correction, please email the Help Desk at help@ccil.org with your suggestions and corrections.

ELiteracy Mentors

Eight ELiteracy Mentors were named in September at the Volunteer Appreciation Night. They will help CCIL users with their Internet connections and computer problems. Volunteers are welcomed. Mentors' volunteered for Spring City, Kennett Square, Downingtown, Lancaster, and two in West Chester. The Help Desk will rely on the mentor to correct Internet configuration problems the user may have with their computer and software.

Security Alerts

Since our new servers have come on line, many of users have complained about getting a series of SECURITY
ALERTS.

Don Homer, one of our technical volunteers, has figured out that it only happens to those of you who are using Internet
Explorer browser. To stop those messages in Internet Explorer:

Click "Tools" then "Internet Options"
In the Internet Options dialog box, click on the "Security" tab, and "Custom Level" button.
In the Security Settings dialog box, there's a "Settings:" window. Scroll down(1/2 way prox.)to:
     "Display mixed content'
     and click Enable
drop down to the next item which is,
"Don't prompt for client certificate selection when no certificate or only one certificate exists"
     and click Enable
Click OK at the bottom of the Security Settings dialog box
Click OK at the bottom of the Internet Options dialog box
