Student of I CAN Pilot Program
“The
donation of a free computer allowed me to complete major projects and
other homework assignments, connect with friends, use online resources
(games, instant messaging, my school’s website, online research, etc.),
and stay in touch with current events. I
did all right using CCIL, which is a free Internet Service Provider.
Depending on where you live and the time of day you’re connecting will
affect the speed of your online connection. Granted, dial-up is not
the most desirable online connection, but it is
convenient to have access to the Internet when you need it. My family also
enjoyed the benefits of the free computer and Internet connection.”
