SUMMER 2007

Dear User,

The User Support area provides a number of resources to help you work with various CCIL services. This area will continue to grow as we add services. Topics have been broken down to help you find the information you are looking for. This is a free dial-up service only, and our extended support is offered to help you experience a trouble free service.

Before requesting help, please try searching this site and look over the ccil-user mailing list archives. For problems with any CCIL service or system please use one of the following methods to request help.

1. You can call the Help Desk voice mail at 610-431-2673. A CCIL Help Desk volunteer will return your call. Please speak plainly when leaving your name and phone number. This helps us to find your account and if you’re an active member.

2. Email the help desk at help@ccil.org. We have several volunteers who monitor the list and attempt to find solutions for your problem.

3. Send an email to the ccil-help@list.ccil.org. The list is the CCIL Help Desk volunteers.

4. To post a message to all the list members, send email to ccil-user@lists.ccil.org.

These mailing lists are for all users and developers of Chester County InterLink. The list is for CCIL users to help each other and discuss whatever general topics. When requesting help, please remember we are volunteers that have to take time from their busy schedules to answer your call. So, please be patient with our service. We are very interested in helping you.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the CCIL-User Archives. The archive is only available to the list members. You will need to subscribe to the list to see prior postings.

Another source for information is doing a search on the Internet. There are several search engines that provide free and strong search capabilities. Internet Explorer has a search address function that will find a web page that you are looking for or a search name/question. The Help Desk uses this search technique to troubleshoot complaints or software problems. Just type in the words that describe your problem, and away you will go with an amazing number of web pages that address the question.

We are updating our User Support area to provide searchable answers to your questions. As a service to our users, a newsletter link on the main page is provided. Questions and Answers from other users, and Help Desk articles from this past year may help you find answers to your inquiries.
